ABOUT ME
When you're awkward and not pretty like your friends, childhood can be rather lonely.
“You’re right! She IS ugly,” are giggled words that haunt me to this day.
I worked hard to be popular, even becoming the Prom Queen, but I still felt like an imposter in my own movie.
The advantages to being the "closet misfit" as I call it were tremendous as I would later appreciate.
I learned to take charge.
Developing leadership, PR, marketing and communication skills wasn’t an option. It was a NECESSITY!
Those skills spring-boarded me to:
Sell real estate & notarize documents BEFORE graduating from high school
Score positive press for my university while still a student
Earn Head Librarian and System Manager positions at Fox TV before turning 25

Start, build & sell my own communications business in Asia before turning 27

None of the above would have happened had I not been that plain and awkward redheaded misfit!
God has a plan. I just need to keep following it.
